I visited the Silver Criket twice...
I visited the Silver Criket twice in one week: a Tuesday evening around 9pm and a Thursday evening around midnight. You park for free behind the building and enter through the back. Upon entering, a guy that looks like George “The Animal†Steele will assess you the $10 cover. On my first visit he waved me through quickly, but on my second visit two days later he wanted to see my id. You can sit at the bar or a table for free, but booths cost $20. The club is set up with a bar to your right, booths to your left, and the private dance area inside the far wall. The bathrooms and smoking lounge are located in the northwest corner, while the kitchen is located in the northeast corner. The center of the room is a stage with two poles, elevated about three feet off of the ground. There was only one dancer on stage at a time on both of my visits. Beers were expensive for one ($7 or $7.50), but a better deal if you bought two. I think I paid 2 for $12 on Tuesday and 2 for $11 on Thursday. I am not sure why the price differed, it might have been waitress hustle or there may have been a difference in price between Budweiser and Bud Light? The two beers came very cold in a tub of ice, which was like a flashback for me to my time in Paraguay. The waitresses and bartenders tended to be sexy. I enjoyed flirting with the blonde in the leather skirt.
On my first visit, there were more African-American dancers than Caucasian dancers, but on my second visit, vanilla outnumbered chocolate. The line-up ran the gamut with some dancers I’d rather ignore to play Candy Crush and others that had me at full attention. I would say, there were at least a couple 7’s or better on both evenings. There were only eight, maybe nine, dancers working on Tuesday night. In contrast, on Thursday night there were at least a dozen dancers on duty. Not too many people were stage tipping, but a fair number of patrons were buying lap dances. The lap dance area seems to be half open booths and half curtained booths. I was always taken to the curtained booths, which had decent-sized captain chairs, but were a little tight on space. I got dances from four different dancers on my two visits. All were two-way contact for the most part and good value at $20 per dance. The only dancer whose name I remembered was Angel. She is a five-foot, blue-eyed blonde with tattoos and pierced nips. She has an interesting German accent and seemed to have a cult of regulars. The music was a good mix of everything: electronic, hip hop, pop, and rock.
The Silver Criket was very hygienic compared to a lot of strip clubs, which I liked. The servers were efficient and on top of their game. I did try a Philly cheese steak on my first visit. It tasted good and was only $8, but I wish the portion size was slightly larger. The pricing on the food here is much more reasonable than Toy Chest and a fair number of patrons seemed to be eating. The closing time is 2am, which is very early for me, but ordinances are beyond the clubs control. Overall, I really liked this club. It is not a dive, yet it is not super upscale either. The Criket is what you’d call mid-tier club. I ended up spending $750 in two nights and will return next time I am in the area.
