I visited the Toy Chest on...

I visited the Toy Chest on a Thursday night around 10pm and on a Friday night around midnight. There is only valet parking at the club. I hate having other people inside my rig unattended, so I parked on a side street about a block away from the club. The residential area didn’t look the best, but not unsafe either. I did get a dirty look walking into the establishment on foot, but was not hassled otherwise with the valet. On Thursday, cover was $7. On Friday, cover was $10. The inside is centered on a two-pole kidney-shaped stage. Chairs and tables surround the stage, while booths are along the walls. Sitting at the bar or at a table is free, while a booth costs a Jackson. The club overall is just one room and kind of small, yet they try to make it look upscale. The clientele was very diverse, but there seemed to be a lot of Arabs there. The largest mosque in the United States is just a couple blocks west of the Toy Chest.<br>

Domestic beers were $7 each. On my first visit I decided to try out the food. I ended up getting beef quesadillas. They tasted alright but were very small and not worth the $12 that they charged. The entire food menu seemed overpriced. I am used to food at strip clubs being at cost or a loss leader. The service was very slow, and some of the waitresses would just sit in booths for long periods with dancers and customers, rather than take drink orders. The bartender was pretty sexy, and I made it a habit to flirt with her and buy my drinks from her exclusively after a bad experience with my server.<br>

Both nights I was there, dancers ran the gamut anywhere from a 2 to a 10. Most were black or white, but I did see one Latina. There were probably a dozen dancers on Thursday night and twice that on Friday night with slightly higher quality. Thursday I was approached by just about every ugly dancer at the club, to which I rejected. All of the 7’s and up seemed to sit with their regulars and just drink. Friday was more of the same. Some of the same nasty dancers from the previous night approached me again, and the sexier entertainers were on lockdown with regulars. However, I did intercept a dancer that looked like Jessica Drake on her way to the dressing room. She was about an 8 on my scale, and we agreed to do some dances. In the northwest corner of the club are curtained rooms for lap dances. You pay an attendant $20 for a room with a couch. From there, lap dances are $25 each. The dances were good two-way contact and very hands on. This particular dancer was very into me because she initiated French kissing, which I wasn’t all that crazy about doing with someone I just met. My only complaint was that the room that I was charged $20 to use was dirty.<br>
