Between Mississauga and Woodstock along hwy 401, the Body Shoppe in Guelph is the only "touch" club, as the dancer I met put it. (Roxxanne's, in Kitchener, is officially only one-way contact). Housed in a historic mansion that once belonged to local brewery-founder John Sleeman, the Manor, as it is also known, is a quaint and friendly club. Feels like the fusion of a strip club and a dive bar, but without being uncomfortable. No cover at the door the Thursday I went, as I recall, and a new promotion: Foursome Thursdays (Jägerbombs and VIP room cover are $4), replacing topless bartender night--though my server was attractive, I suspect the wait staff were happy to say goodbye to to that one! Because I didn't have long and had had a beer with dinner, I ordered a coke: $3.50 or so, which didn't seem like highway robbery, at least. I tipped $1.<br>

I was left alone at my table for the end of the first dancer's set, which was seductive and flirty, and was joined during the next one's act. Jersey, a tight-bodied brunette of average height with many intricate tattoos, struck up awkward conversation about liking my shirt while sliding her shin against mine. She said the dancers feel significant loyalty to the club's owner, whose son recently made a critically acclaimed documentary about it. I agreed, and she took me to a charming VIP room whose Victorian ceiling and plush red sofas give it an old-timey feel. She waited at least for the preceding song to end, and maybe chatted with me through another, sitting on my lap, before starting to dance. She danced expertly for two songs, letting me know when each was over and allowing me to kiss her small breasts, kiss her neck, and wander my hands everywhere I tried except her pussy. I gave her a $50 to express my gratitude, and she gave me a friendly hug goodbye.<br>
