Mardi Gra's use to be the best club in Massachusetts, hands down. Nice spacious club. Large bar area. Large VIP section upstairs. They even expanded to the bulding next door and added a whole other "Bourbon Street" looking stage area for the weekend. Decor aside, the girls here were typically 7-10's. In most other massachusetts clubs, you can only get a lame table dance where the girls have to stay about 5ft away. Gra's somehow gets away with lapdances that rival some of providence's fine establishments. All that aside, the girls that are working there now seem to be stand offish. One of the sexiest girls they had working the other night got up onto the bar/stage and proceeded to kneel down on the side of the stage with her back towards everyone and chatted away with the bartendar chick. Two songs later she danced around with limited interaction. Next song, she sat down and talked to the bartender again.

All the dancers seemed more interested in huddling up and talking amongst themselves more than anything. I usually get 4-5 lapdances when I visit. I waited over an hour and a half and finally gave up and left. No girls walking around. No interest in making money. And I have been hearing that they are cracking down on things here too. I've gotten good mileage in the VIP area quite a few times in the past. I've heard that is been tamed down tremendously.

Perhaps it was a bad night. After reading other reviews, I tend not to think so. I'll give them one more chance before I give up on the gras.
