I went to the Bouzouki Club...
I went to the Bouzouki Club on Memorial Day, May 26th. I had not been to this club in two years. I arrived at 5pm and there were about seven patrons and no dancers. I left to take a walk and came back at 6:30pm. Again, there were about the same number of patrons drinking at the bar, but there were no dancers. I stayed until 7:30pm, but there were still no dancers. Even the waitress called in and said she was not going to come in today. I have been to this club before when the pickings were slim, mainly when there is no sporting event downtown, but I have never been to Zooks when there were no dancers. At least the club was not charging a cover. (I had been to a Hustler Club once before that charged a cover at the door and there were no dancers.) Moral of the story: Do not go to strip clubs on Memorial Day, and do not go to the Bouzouki Club when the Tigers are not playing.<br>

Beers are $5. The food at this club is actually pretty good. The menu is select menu items from the Mexican and Greek restaurants on the same block. The club is owned by the same guy who owns Loco’s and Niki’s, so the food comes right from the kitchens of those two restaurants. Prices seem to be about the same whether you are at one of the restaurants or the strip club. One thing I like about this place over other strip clubs is that the bar is very long. It can fit about thirty people. A lot of strip clubs have tiny, crammed bars.
