Went to check out LA Grand...

Went to check out LA Grand last Sunday. Pretty much a waste of time. They raised the admission price to $10 without any corresponding increase in value to the customer. Upon walking into the dance area, I was greeted by a line of sitting ladies. I recognized one or two old-timers, but most were, as I could discern, new. But no improvement, though. To a person, these were "gorditas," pretty chunky. Not my taste at all. I did dance with one girl, who I thought was thinner than the rest. I was wrong. She proved to be as hefty as all the others. A brief dance and then I was out of there. No reason to go back. One week till my trip to Detroit. I can't wait to hit some of the clubs there.
