Really good club, the only issue...
Really good club, the only issue is the price. The staff are friendly, the food is good, but the drinks and everything else is very, very expensive. It's a great, two level facility. If you have money to spend, this may be the best place in the city to do it. If you don't, consider going elsewhere. The facilities itself are very nice - very clean bars, floors, chairs, couches, etc. I find that I am usually a stickler for these sorts of things, even in my regular life, and the fact that I can describe a strip club as clean is unusual. I actually came to Rick's primarily to eat and to watch a basketball game - and ended up staying for more. The food is great - I had the wings, up on the (extremely empty) second floor bar/restaurant.
The girls here are really special. Some knock-outs, even by New York standards. I'm from the west coast and spend most of my time in clubs there, and my trip to New York in 2013 was the first time in the city. I was blown away by several of the girls, and ended up going private with a girl. The prices were exorbitant - I ended up paying $800 between champagne and the room itself for an hour. The experience was, overall, not at all worth it - it took an unusually long time to get settled in, and I felt ripped off by how little dancing there was.
All-in-all, I think Rick's is worth a visit. You should refrain from drinking a lot and shouldn't go private, but if you go, the lap dances on the first floor are definitely great. The girls know how to dance and everyone I met was great about starting at the beginning of a song - or giving extra time if they started later. It was $20 for a 3-dance song. They are really hands-off on the first floor.
