My work buddy and I hit the Zanzibar after a late dinner on a Sunday night. First off, the place is way bigger when you get inside. 3 floors but only 1 stage. Top floor is is a "VIP". Main floor is the bar, stage, and all the girls standing around on their phones. The Basement is the washrooms (or so I thought). If you pass the washrooms there is a VIP down there. It has private booths for lap dances, a private bar and a smoking hot bartender. I chatted her up for a while and she told me there was a $20 VIP charge, good for the night. Upstairs the service was slow for no reason I could see. Our waitress was courteous, I don't think English was her first language. All the female staff was just as hot as the dancers, although sometimes it was hard to tell who the waitresses were. My buddy told me the wait staff used to wear matching white lingerie that looked like it was from 1985. I told the waitress to tell her boss he should put them in some Victorias secret or something, she smiled politely, she probably has to deal with jerks all day, I start giving her bigger tips. The two worst things about the main floor, The cleanliness or lack there of and the male bartender who hasn't lifted a finger except to play with his phone since we were seated. No wonder our drinks were taking so long. I decide when I'm done this beer I'm going back down to the basement VIP. During this time, approximately 1 1/2hrs. the stage show never stopped for break songs, Zanzibar is well staffed with dancers. The dancers seem to travel in packs, 2 or 3 come and sit down at a time. Over all I was surprised at how hot the girls were. Im not sure why I had the impression they would be kinda grimey (like the club itself). Remember when all the strippers looked like something out of Trailer Park Boys? Gone are the bleach blond single moms that smell like JD and Paul Malls. These girls were glam from head to toe, comparing their tiffanys jewellery and Louis Vuitton bags in between lap dances. Most of them accepted a drink (called The Hulk at $15 each!) and were onto the next when we said we went getting dances tonight. Only one out of the group came on a little to strong. They used to do the sweet talking hustle to get your money, when did they start just plain asking for it!? "If you're not going to take me for a dance, you should at least give me twenty bucks" . Ya right, I think downstairs is calling..<br>

We went back downstairs to see hot brunette. Drinks are priced the same as upstairs, but HB (my nickname for hot brunette cause I didn't catch her name) makes the overpriced drinks, and grimy atmosphere worth it. As she refuses to give me a lap dance for the 10th time, I finally agree to let her get two of her favourite girls for me and my buddy. That night I learned to always let a woman choose a women for you. She came down with a very tall light skinned black girl and a blonde, girl next door type with freckles and all. The $20 cover, worth it! $20 per song for the lap dances, worth it! We stayed downstairs with the dancers and HB for an hour or so. Sunday was the perfect night to go, the VIP was our own little club. The lap dances were a lot of fun, the girls were the perfect choice, nice girls,.they were chill and friendly and sexy as hell. The bill was ridiculous expensive at 10 bucks a beer and 9.5 for a tequila shot. Hb did a detailed bill of our drinks and kept time for our dances. There are a lot of reviews on here by people getting ripped off at Zanzibar, they obviously weren't with the right girls if thats the case. I'd give the club a 7.5/10 overall. Highlights: The majority of the dancers are hard 8's, pretty faces and tight bodies. The VIP is super private with its own ATM and bar. Lowpoints: Zanzibar needs a serious cleaning, badly. The main floor could use better service, I didn't see the bartender put his phone down the whole time we were there and some of the waitresses don't even offer you another drink. Overall I would absolutely go back to Zanzibar, the service in the VIP was fantastic and the girls made our night. I hope to see them when I come back.
