Well, after two months of reading...

Well, after two months of reading comments about this place I finally made the trip. It’s about a 40 minute drive for me, so the one thing I’ll say from the start is I won’t be making this a regular trip. That said, the first thing that surprised me was what they charged. I thought there was a cover and drink minimum. That’s not the case. It’s $5 a drink, and the “drink minimum” varies on the day and time. The charges are listed outside. But, if I remember right, it’s a one drink minimum before 6 p.m., two drink Monday through Thursday after 6 p.m., and three drink Friday and Saturday after 6 p.m. That’s if I remember right. If I didn’t remember right you’ll see the prices at the door when you go in. The drinks are soda. If you BYOB, I guess you pay whatever the minimum, which seems like a fair way of doing things, and no surprises.

Inside, I was really shocked. I was expecting a small, dumpy bar. It’s really not that small. There’s an occupancy sign that says 146, so that can give you an idea of the size. It’s clean and neat. I went there on a Saturday afternoon. Great time to go as far as the price, but there was a crowd there. I can’t imagine what this place is like in the evenings.

There’s been enough written about the stage show, so there’s nothing new to add here, but I like the fact that the girl’s just get up for what seems like 10 minutes and are off. It’s topless, so the show is limited. And they don’t go around the inside of the bar looking for tips. When the girls are done the dollar parade that people complain about starts on the outside. But unlike most clubs, these girls are not out to make tips around the bar. It is purely advertising to get you into the couch area or private rooms. It was easy for the girls with a packed house. They didn’t have to work the bar too much to find an interested party. Maybe there are less girls in the afternoon, and more in the evening, which might account for there not being a line for the rooms (just judging from some comments), or at least not a long one.
