This club seems to thrive or wilt in cycles. It appears to be in an up cycle now. Recently I've been back several times, both on weeknights and on Saturdays. There have been some recent renovations: there's a new lap dance area beyond the bar. The chairs are a little narrow and close together, which can make life interesting on a busy night. I have mixed feelings about this; to be utterly (and hypocritically) honest, I sometimes enjoy watching the next guy's LD while I'm getting my own. But I'm not sure I enjoy being watched.
The club has also invested in new stage chairs. They are big, clunky, high backed dining room chairs that weigh twice as much as any chair ought to weigh, which, given that they're packed like sardines against the stage, can make moving in and out of one's seat a challenge, especially on busy nights. It's hard to turn around when a dancer or shot hostess approaches you from behind. Big mistake here. The lighting is often too dark and the use of the fog machine rather heavy-handed (one night there were times when one literally couldn't see across the room). The musical choices are uninspired, to use a nice word. Why, when there is so much good music available, every club I know has to play that damned "Girl, Girl, Girl" once an hour, or anything by Snoop Dog ever at all, escapes me.
But the current group of girls are, for the most part, terrific! Several are absolutely stunning. LD's can be good to excellent -- by Massachusetts standards, of course, and the bouncer presence is visible without being obtrusive.
