I went to a Springfield playoff...
I went to a Springfield playoff hockey game a couple of Saturdays ago, and being in the neighborhood decided to go to Mardi Gras before I went home in CT. I hadn't been there on a Saturday night in a long time, forgot how much fun it could be. The stage/bar was loaded with dancers, none of them shy at all, but there were no seats at the bar so I hung out near the wall in front of the bar. Even there, lots of dancers would stop by, introduce themselves and ask for a dance. It was so crowded that I really had no interest in either waiting for a spot in the LD room or hanging out there with a bunch of other guys and dancers. But, got a few "feels" from the dancers, the scenery on and off the stage was great, and I had a great time for little cash.
There's a cover at night, think it was $5 but don't quote me on that. You can park on the street around the corner if you're not worried about the car (the neighborhood really isn't all that bad) or, if nervous they have their own paid parking lot. I chose the street, no problems.
If you're not looking for dances but just want to hand around with great scenery, Saturdays are the nights to go.
