I visited Big Louie's Too on...

I visited Big Louie's Too on the strength of TUSCL reviews, and found the reviews, as far as they went, to be accurate. One tends to think of this part of Missouri as the middle of nowhere, especially if one is just driving through on I-44. But if that's the case, the middle of nowhere produces a lot of very pretty girls. There were a few dancers who really should be in another line of work, but that's also true at a lot of fancier, more sophisticated clubs in major metropolitan areas. Big Louie (or whoever) gets high marks for his selection of dancers.

The general setup and amenities have been thoroughly and accurately described elsewhere. I found the atmosphere quite smoky, but I tend to be more affected by that than some reviewers.

The biggest problem with Big Louie's Too is Ft. Leonard Wood. I don't know if it was Serviceman's Appreciation Night or something, but the only people getting attention from the dancers seemed to be the military-looking folk. Now I'm as patriotic as the next guy, and I'm glad for them to have a nice warm send-off before they go to nice warm Iraq, where I know they'll do a much better job of representing the US of A than I would. But was it too much to hope that there would be something left over for a weary traveller like me? Well, on that late afternoon, yes it was. Hence I cannot review the private dances.
