I swore I wouldn't be doing...

I swore I wouldn't be doing the strip club scene for a long time after a bad experience at another NY club, but my friends and I couldn't resist. We met a guy on the street who was handing out free beer cozies for Sapphires. The guy was trying to convince us to go to the club. We were actually headed back to our hotel, so he said he could get a free limo to pick us up and then once inside we'd all get a free drink. Needless to say we knew it was a ploy to get us to spend major bucks but we couldn't resist the free transportation. As promised, a limo picked up four of us at our hotel and dropped us off right at Sapphires. That in itself was awesome. We had to pay a hefty cover, but that's to be expected (and can't tell you how much cuz my friends covered for my for my bday). We were immediately directed to a nice table on the floor by a gorgeous brunette, and she took our complimentary drink order (I was actually quite surprised there wasn't a catch). We all ordered top shelf and that didn't seem to be a problem. Drinks were pretty decent…..esp for strip club standards. I could actually taste the vodka. The girls were all 7-8's. That's very good in my standards, naked or not I'm a tough critic. We sat and had a few rounds and the girls came up to us frequently and were very friendly but not at all pushy. For my bday the boys bought me a lap dance. I can't tell you how much it cost because they covered everything, however it was a super hot girl, very private albeit not VIP, and I enjoyed every minute of it. She was fun, flirty and sexy…..just the right combo. Very Kate Upton. I gotta say this type of experience at a strip club, esp in NYC, is few and far between so maybe we just hit it on a good night. Nice management, nice waitresses, and very cute dancers. I haven't been to tons of clubs in NYC but I can say that this one is 100% better than Cheetahs. Of course you're going to end up spending a lot of money if you stick around and drink and get dances, but for a special occasion I think Sapphires is totally worth the money.
