First off, let me say that...

First off, let me say that this isn't a first hand review since I haven't been to Kens in nearly a month. I recently started dating one of the girls that worked (note the past tense, she has left the club recently) at Ken's and haven't been in there since we began dating. Anyway, through her I have become friends with many of the girls who work at Ken's and have gotten a number of phone calls in the past few days telling me things that I wanted to pass along to everyone here.

The most important thing I've been told is that major changes are coming. Metro was in Ken's fingerprinting the girls over the weekend in anticipation of the new laws going into effect. The fingerprinting is part of the process the girls will have to go through to get a special license that will be required to dance in Metro now. The girls were told that beginning next Monday (the 15th) all dancers will have to be licensed and the "3 foot rule" will go into effect. This will mean no more lap dances and the upstairs rooms will be closed off.

Second, a number of the top girls have already left or plan on doing so VERY soon. I was told that Desiree got fired a couple of weeks ago and that Ectasy and Alexis had already quit. A couple of girls have gotten modeling contracts and plan on quitting at the end of this week and two or three others have non-dancing jobs lined up that they will be starting soon. Several others have told me that they also plan to quit to dance in other cities (Memphis seems to be the most popular destination). A group is supposedly leaving this weekend to try their hand up north and may or may not be back. That's not going to leave much to choose from if you have a favorite currently working at Ken's.
