One night after being horribly disappointed by Sapphire, my buddies and I were on Fremont St. and decided to check out Glitter Gulch. There was no cover, but there was a two drink minimum, which cost $20 per person. Nonetheless, $20 for entry and two drinks on a Saturday night is really not that terribly bad for a strip club.

The selection of girls was hit or miss. Some looked like they had been run over by the ugly truck, but some were pretty good, and a couple were simply outstanding. One of the more outstanding ones, Violet, came and started talking to me and my buddies after her time on stage. She didn't try to talk any of us into a dance - she just sat there and talked to us, smoking a cigarette, drinking a Coke, and helping ward off the numerous vultures (more on that in a minute) until it was time for her to go back on stage.

So, the vultures. Most of the girls were quite polite about dances. If they asked if you wanted one and you said no, they said okay and moved on to the next patron. A few of them, however, were pushy as hell, with a couple even going so far as trying to walk away with your drink to make you follow them. Now I get that, since most of these girls had been hit by the aforementioned ugly truck, they were probably desperate for some business; however, that kind of behavior is likely to get them nothing more than a big "fuck you" from me. Again, fortunately we had Violet sitting with us as vulture repellent.

So, I can see Glitter Gulch being hit-or-miss. However, I think if you go into it with the right mindset and are just looking to have fun, you can certainly enjoy yourself.
