I had always been reluctant to...
I had always been reluctant to visit this club. Under prior management, there had been some violence here, and it's in a fairly urban environment. But I figured there was no harm in stopping by on a weekday in the early evening around 7:30. There was no cover before 9pm and the physical club was in good condition. My fears of finding myself a sketchy joint were assuaged. I went to the bar and ordered a reasonably priced beer ($4 for bottled Bud Light). Alas, there was one problem. The club was dead. There was, at most, one other customer inside. More troubling, there were no girls visible. The stage was empty throughout the 20 minutes I was there, and the only woman in the room was the waitress. I mean, the whole point of going to a strip club is to see girls in various states of undress. If I wanted to drink a beer and watch ESPN, there are other bars for that. So I didn't stay long. Now, it's understandable that there are slow times in a club, but to have no dancing activity during the early evening when people are getting out of/home from work seems a bit much. If they can't staff the club appropriately, then don't open until later.
