In my opinion the Gold Club...

In my opinion the Gold Club has by far the best looking strippers in the Hartford area. Every time I have visited the talent has been consistently good and there’s sometimes even a stunner or two. The dancers are mostly white and almost all are young (college-age to mid 20’s). There’s many Latinas too, especially Puerto Ricans (although not many Brazilians- probably because this club is too tame) And a couple of black ladies, but only rarely any Asians. Many of the dancers drive from outside the area to work here, with some local ladies as well. As a result, there’s a pretty wide variety of ethnicities. There’s a variety of sizes and looks too, from pretty and petite to buxom beauties, blondes to brunettes, goths to the girl next door. Like everywhere else today most of the ladies have at least some ink on them. But there’s several young beauties here that have no tattoos at all. I also like this club because I always see fresh new talent every time I visit along with my favorite ladies. Because of the state’s asinine laws the Gold Club is divided into a topless only club where alcohol is served and a juice bar next door (The Gold Club After Dark) where the ladies can drop their panties and you’re allowed to smoke inside the club. Here’s some details about the topless only side of the club. On weekend nights when I visit there’s usually about 15 to 20 dancers with another 10 to 15 dancers working next door at the nude club. The dancers float back and forth between the two clubs to ask for and give dances, but will usually be on stage only at one club or the other. All the ladies circulate around asking for dances. Some of the ladies will even sit with you for a while and strike up a conversation. The clientele on the topless side is diverse- young/old, white/black, businessmen/blue collar, singles/couples- in other words everyone fits in. The club is a short easy ride from the exit 33 on/off ramps and can be seen clearly from I-91. The area immediately around the club is a commercial zone full of car dealerships. But it’s on the edge of the city’s notorious “north end”. So unless you want to score some crack or get shot, you don’t want to get lost around here! Recently there’s been a heavy police presence in the area including a cop stationed in the club’s parking lot at night. As others have said, the parking lot is a mess. It has giant potholes and on Friday and Saturday nights it can be almost impossible to find a parking space after 11. Unfortunately the club does not have valet parking either. The entrance for the topless club is on the front corner of the building facing I-91. As you enter there’s a $10 cover at night. If you already paid the cover at the nude club there’s no additional cover. The girl at the front desk will stamp your hand which allows you to leave and re-enter as many times as you want during the night. Thankfully they’re now using a stamp that washes off easier then in the past. From the entrance you can see the whole club. Directly in front of you there’s a large U-shaped bar set up like at a sports bar with a dozen flat screen tv’s. A bottled beer costs $5.25, but mixed drinks can cost well over $15 (so beware of getting suckered into buying a stripper a drink!) The club also sells outrageously priced bottles of wine and champagne that you’re allowed to bring next door to the nude club. Food is available until around midnight- everything from burgers to steak. Take-out is also sometimes available if you’re staying nearby;) Past the bar is a large circular stage with two poles and ample seating. At night there’s usually two dancers on stage that rotate after doing three or four songs. The ladies usually do a few pole tricks, sometimes give you a stevie or grab a dollar out of your hand with their tits. But no touching by the patrons is allowed and the bouncers will come over if you do. The ladies can only get topless and you won’t see even a glimpse of pussy at the stage or even during the lap dances:( There’s usually a few empty seats stage-side until 11 or so. After that the club usually gets really crowded. Unfortunately there’s no longer enough seating or standing room around the stage since they added the reserved VIP seating along the back wall. The men’s room is located in the front right corner behind the bar along with an ATM. There’s a pool table in a small room over by the entrance when you first come in. Lap dances are done on an elevated platform overlooking the club in open-end booths that face a mirrored wall. Unfortunately they recently blocked off one of the exits from the lap dance area. So now others have to pass by and sometimes trip over you while you’re getting a dance. Lap dances cost $25 and again you can’t touch:( The bouncers don’t always patrol the lap dance area. But the club has cameras there instead and the bouncers will interrupt if you get touchy. The ladies also get fined big time or fired if they don’t tow the line. But even though the contact is one way, the lap dances are still decent. There’s usually good grinding and some even give you a complimentary massage, albeit with your pants on. If you want to see more of your entertainer all the ladies will happily go next door and give you an all nude dance, but for $35 each! However don’t expect a better dance next door because no touching is allowed there either. Every hour or so the club runs a promo where you can get 2 dances for $45 and the club throws in either a T-shirt, hat, beer mug, playing cards or calendar filled with nudie pics of dancers that haven’t worked here in years. The promo is a good time to scope out the talent. All the ladies are in the parade of whores that cross the stage to Motley Crue’s classic “Girls, Girls, Girls” as the DJ announces their names. Finally, the topless side has two Champagne Rooms that are located over by the men’s room. They cost $150 for every 15 minutes. You pay the whole amount upfront directly to the club. Like the rest of this club the CR is pretty tame. My experience has been it’s not anything “extra” special. There’s not a lot of privacy either. The CR’s are enclosed only by beaded curtains. Many dancers and patrons use the side door between the CR’s to take a short cut to the nude club next door for a smoke break and can see in as they pass. If that weren’t bad enough, the club has cameras in there too. If you’re determined to do a CR, I would at least go next door. Although more expensive, it’s more private and the rules are sometimes a little more liberal. So if you want to see more than just PG-13 material or just need a place to sober-up before driving home, head next door to the all nude Gold Club After Dark.
