I arrived early on a Thursday...

I arrived early on a Thursday evening but I'd driven around the area before it got dark. Car parking in the area is difficult to say the least. There's a very rough looking housing estate at the back of the pub, especially next to a couple of high rise apartments. Drive past the housing estate and you are into an industrial area. This hasn't got any space on the side of the road until everyone leaves work and then after it drops dark the place is deserted and doesn't feel comfortable at all. I decided to park on a housing estate right over the other side of Cambridge Road. It looked and felt a lot safer but is further to walk and you need to look at the road signs very carefully because a lot of the streets have restricted parking.

The bar consists of a room with a bar on one side and a stage opposite. When both bars are open the area where the bar attendants work has double doors that lead through to the main bar so that the staff can divide their time between both bars. The doors are kept closed so customers in the main bar can't see strippers accidentally. However, when it gets busy, the bar staff disappear next door and as they can't see you, you can wait ages to get a drink. However, if you offer to buy one of the dancers a drink its amazing how fast the bar staff reappear.

The "Blue Bar" had two girls working on the night I visited. According to the website schedule it has three girls on Friday nights and certain other times. On the night I was there the girls spent their time between songs in the bar and then would disappear into a little room at the side of the stage to change before each song. They did a dance every 10-15 minutes depending on how many people were present. It was quiet when I arrived and they won't dance until there are enough customers. I can't remember exactly but they needed four or five. When they dance its a compulsory pound in the jug from each customer before the dance.
