I found myself heading home from Hillsboro late on Friday night and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to check out this new club since I'm rarely this far west of Portland other than daytime hours. The parking lot was nearly full when I arrived just after midnight. Well-lit lot, easy to find entrance. There was no cover but a bouncer at the door to let you in. Inside I was impressed by the big open space and nicely stocked bar along one wall. There were quite a few customers, and I was surprised to see about 20% of them were good looking women. There were 2 hot bartenders and I got a micro brew for $4.75. There was a DJ playing mostly hip-hop and current pop hits (like Bruno Mars, for example) and what I noticed right away was that so many of the customers were moving to the groove at the bar, at the various tables around the room, and around the rack. It was definitely more of a party scene than most other clubs in the Portland area. There were 3 dancers up in the DJ booth area just shaking their asses and dancing with the DJ while they waited their turn on stage. I really resembled a girls gone wild episode or a Daytona Beach spring break party with so many girls (dancers and customers) shaking their asses. Anyway, there are 2 stages in the center of the big room, but only one was in use. They have a really big VIP area with beads and low walls to obscure the view from the main area, and from what I could see the VIP area had plush leather couches around the perimeter and a pole in the center, but nobody went in there during my visit. The dancers ranged from about 5 to 8. Unfortunately several of the girls were chubby and not my type, but when the slim girls from the DJ booth area finally got on stage it was a pretty good show. Several of them did mini lap dances at the rack, though not to the degree you'd see at Casa D. Overall it was fun and I was impressed at the quality of the place and the party atmosphere. I was expecting it to be a dump or really dead, but I was completely wrong with that assumption.
