A client illness left me with a few extra hours during a recent trip to Houston so I thought I would drop by Chicas Locas for a change of venue. It used to be one of the area clubs where higher mileage and better value could be had. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case so much anymore.

Firstly, was hasn’t changed; approximately 1/3 of the dancers are probable illegal huílas, who speak almost no English. Hence, if you’re you need to actually talk to your dancer to have a good time, then you should bring your Spanish-English dictionary with you. There are still an abundance of waitresses, so getting served shouldn’t be a problem. Since some of them don’t speak much English either, if you order something beyond “Una cerveza, [insert brand] por favor”, you might be surprised what you get.

They have done some renovations in the past year, and unfortunately the club’s overall atmosphere has changed. The worst thing is that the lap dance area now allows for absolutely no privacy. The club is now much brighter inside, and I think they may have even changed the seating. I didn’t see one single chair fort erected in the 90 minutes I was there, and just the overall vibe is that this has become a strictly no extras club. I didn’t really sample any food, but the smell of comino and chili was prevalent. The waitresses seemed mostly older and fatter than a year ago, and some were surprisingly large. Over all I would say there were a dozen or so dancers on duty when I was there, with only one 7, and the rest 5’s and 6’s. I ended up getting a couple of lackluster dances from the 7, and left.
