I've been to the Deja Vu...
I've been to the Deja Vu in Ypsilanti twice and have had two entirely different experiences. The first time I visited I was slightly overwhelmed as that I had been my first time ever stepping foot inside a strip club. The club was fairly empty with only a few parties scattered throughout the sitting area and one or two guys seated at the stage. The girls working that night were fairly attractive, though far from stunners. After sitting through a set, I purchased $40 bucks worth of dances. The dances were awesome and the stripper (Peyton is what I believe she said her name was) was pulling out all the stops. She was also fairly talkative which made things less awkward. I was planning on taking her to the VIP room but was short on cash and couldn't find my debit card. She ended up giving me the "VIP experience" so to speaks. For $80 she essentially gave me a no holds barred 5-10 minute dance allowing me to touch anything I pleased. She gave me her number and Facebook afterwards but even as a first timer, I knew to navigate away from stripper marketing tactics lol. The second time I went was the 23rd of March, this year. There were a couple of 7's and 8's dancing and the club was running a $100 30 minute vip dance promo. After watching a pretty sexy chick finish her set, they brought all the dancers to the stage for some guys birthday. Afterwards they began to work the room and ask guys for dance. A 6 1/2 approached me and I turned her down when she offered a dance which she did not seem to take well. I had my mindset on getting a dance from one of the 8's but I got approached again by another 6 1/2-7. She was a fairly short brunette; petite, but with some curvature. At that moment I made the biggest mistake and broke one of the golden rules in strip club etiquette: not having patience. She offered me a dance and I thought sure why not. The dance was pretty good. So good that I decided to take her to the VIP for a 30 minute dance and broke the second cardinal rule: not asking a dancer what she allows in the VIP before forking over your cash. Sidenote why don't they ever give back your change? You know it wasn't a tip; guess those know how awkward it would be for me to ask for it back. Then again it seems like a pretty boss thing to do asking for your change back. Either way, to make a long story short, it was the most boring dance. I literally almost fell asleep around the 15 minute mark and the rest of the time I spent trying not to noticeably nod off in the "Vip Room" which was just a booth with sequined bead blinds. I was only allowed to touch her thighs and sides. The $%^&? Anyways Deja Vu can be a pretty dope club if you go on the right night and have the testicular fortitude to be direct with what you want.
