I was in Bristol for a two-week work stint, and Club Risque was pretty much the only club near my location. I was there a couple of nights and the atmosphere was relaxed: definitely had that Philly blue collar feel which I appreciate. Some of the patrons were rough around the edges a bit, but over all a safe place with an attentive staff.

Long bar in the middle with a staircase that goes up to the floor above: kinda neat. Drink specials during football times, etc. The first night I was there I had a couple of dances from a very engaging brunette who was just my type: kind of a girl next door type that always teased you... had a few other dances with other girls but that's the one that stands out.

I went back the following week but she wasn't there (wish I could remember her name)... but I lucked out with some of the other girls. What I like about places like Club Risque (reminds me of Rhode Island Dolls, maybe it's a North East thing) is that they cut through all the false pretense of elegance and posh and get right to it: we like women, and they like our money. No smoke and mirrors.
