Sutra was the second club we went to during our Montreal excursion. In a vacuum, it may not have been too bad, but in comparison to a couple of the other local establishments, it comes across as too sketchy. My first bad experience came when my friends "bought" me a lap dance... After the first dance, she asked if I wanted to continue. I asked if my friends had already paid and she said yes, so we went a few more songs, at which point she said I owed her $80... If the quality was any good, I probably would have just paid, but it was average, and she gave me attitude when I pointed out she told me earlier my friends had already paid. It didn't end well, and I eventually paid and went back to my table.

I also had a chick with forked tongue threaten to kill me, then I got whipped senseless with my own belt, so I guess it's fun for the whole family. Beer buckets were $70 Canadian, which seemed standard for the city, and our group had to pay a $120 table fee to enter. Just not the bang for the buck I was looking for.
