The Pink Monkey is the closest club to the myriad of hotels in the Chicago Loop and south of the river and thus makes a lot of sense. The closest otherwise is the Admiral Theater way up in wherever which, if you're staying downtown, is a bit of a trek. But the Monkey is kind of an odd place. The girls are hot, friendly and the atmosphere is upscale bar feel with bring your own liquor bonus. Yet its expensive - $30 to get in and another $50 for mixers for the spirits you brought in. So not the kind of place to drop into, have a couple of beers and go home. In fact the set-up to me is unique and not unattractive. I recommend it if you;re in Chi-town, in the loop and want to wile away a couple of hours with some BYOB - and its also the kind of place lots of business types head to after to entertain clients.
