I'd never been to a 'pound...

I'd never been to a 'pound in the pint glass'trip club in England and was keen to find out what the story was. Overall, this is a pretty good experience, although different to US clubs, or to European clubs for that matter, especially when it is clear that the dancers will not dance any where near you, even for private dances.

The club is nicely laid out, like a pub, with a stage on the left, a long bar on the right, and friendly security. Place was busy but not hectic when I was there. The girls are generally attractive, with a single stand-out (a gorgeous English brunette) and friendly. They approach each guy in the place for a non-negotiable pound to be put in their pint glass which pays them for their fully nude (and often athletic) stage show. Private dances happen in another room with the caveat as above (I didn't partake).

This is like visiting a cross between a pub and a strip club and worth a visit. If you're after more of a 'close encounter' however, this club - and others like it (Browns, for example, its sister club) is not for you.
