The Caleche is one of those...

The Caleche is one of those places that has been around forever . . .and you wonder why. The club is very casual and low key. The barman, like the most of the dancers is inattentive and spends most of his time talking to the dancers and regulars. The place is not unfriendly, but it has a definite 'locals' vibe.

The bar is a shot-gun style room on the second floor just off of Ste. Catherine Street. The layout and decor is uninspired and reminds me of a club from the 1980's.

The girls are generally OK looking, mostly local and French-speaking. The occasional gem can be found at the club. There are always one or two lookers amongst the talent. The dances are contact and are conducted in the booths at the back of the club. As always, YMMV but there is some fun times to be had with the right girl.

Although not my first choice when visiting Montreal, this club is worth visiting when you tire of the same old routine. This place would be more fun if the management and girls would be more attentive and if the DJ would turn down the volume.
