It had been about six months...

It had been about six months since my last visit so I decided to give the 'Gras another try. Don't think I had ever been there on a Sat night before-- and I almost didn't get in. The website says they are open to 2 AM, but I found out that they lock the doors at 1 AM. I happened to show up right about then, and had to knock on the glass and show my watch to the attendant inside. They unlocked and in I went. Thought it was a little cheap of them to charge me a full cover (I think it was $10?). Oh well...

The place was packed. Lots of beautiful ladies, large crowd. Grabbed a beer and couldn't even find a seat at the stage. Walked around a while and was approached by at least 5-6 dancers for a couch dance ($25)in the span of about 15 mins. A little too pushy for me. Heavy hustle to make $$ at the end of the night, I think. Not one of them stopped to talk. Just making the rounds...

Finally got smart and went upstairs. Good move. Quieter, both in terms of people and volume of music; and I struck up a conversation with a cute blonde at the bar. Drinks seemed a bit more expensive upstairs, not sure, but I bought her one and we settled in on one of the couches. After a while she asked me if I wanted a private dance. I looked at my watch and suggested she check and see if we had enough time before they closed. She thought we had plenty of time, but I didn't want to be rushed-- especially at their prices. Will definitely go back, ideally earlier on a Fri or Sat, and try and find the same dancer. Pick up where we left off.
