This is without doubt the darkest...
This is without doubt the darkest club that I have ever visited. Coming in from the Houston sunlight, it took nearly half an hour to adjust to the dark. This is apparently a well-known club problem as the manager at the entrance escorted me to a seat. I would have surely crashed into some tables (if not patrons) had the manager not assisted me. I tipped him and he thanked me. I hope I gave him nothing more than a $5 but will never know for sure. Soon after entering the establishment I almost crashed into a patron. I apologized but there was no response. The lack of response came with good reason, - it was a damned statue. It scared the hell out of me. Color laser beams are constantly piercing the room and one hopes that sooner or later one of the them will encounter an object of interest, e.g. a dancer. A door to a dressing room at stage left was constantly being opened. The light from the dressing room provided the only real opportunity to actually see a dancer (as they walked in or out). After thirty minutes of laser beams in an otherwise almost pitch-black room, I came to understand why the establishment was essentially illumination-free: you really DON'T want to see most of the dancers. I left after about forty minutes having had a beer and a short conversation with a silhouette of a person. Sorry, I couldn't even tell you what she looked like.
