Not a big strip club...
Not a big strip club guy. The reasons...high cover charge, short expensive dances, drink minimums, bouncers who are jerks and dancers hassling you every two minutes for a lap dance. That being said I decided on a recent trip to Vegas to try Talk of the Town because it seemed a little off the radar. Let me tell you now, I hit the jackpot! I won't go anywhere else but here when in Vegas.
As in other reviews, from the outside it looks a little sketchy. you have to walk through an adult dvd/bookstore to get to the club. The guy in the bookstore was really cool, as throughout the course of the night he helped with questions, and even had some insight on the dancers. walk into the club and its definately not fancy, dark with a small stage, some chairs right around the stage, and then cushioned chairs all around the darkly lit room. First thing I notice is you walk in and a nice lady at the front desk checks you in. No jerk bouncers, not even a male employee, in the whole place. The lady was friendly. Cover charge is $10 before 8pm and $20 after. I got there at 7:55 and she was still cool about charging me ten. Cover includes a soda or water, and there is no further drinks required for purchase.
Stage is just big enough for one dancer, and they rotate doing 3 dances per. I sat back in the room and watched a few and then moved up to a stage chair. Was pleasantly surprised as the dancers all ranged from about a 7-10 (Zoey!) on the ratings scale. I think there was about 7 dancers on that night, so not a huge selection, but that was expected. There was only about 6 or 7 other guys in the place, so it was almost a 1:1 ratio. What I liked was the whole place was low key. Sit in the corner watch the stage dancers for free all night if you want, move up to the stage and tip a few bucks per 3 songs, or if lap dances are your thing do that too.
