After being out of the area...

After being out of the area for almost two years, I visited one of my favorite dives, only to find that the local LE had been on an enforcement binge of late, eliminating all of the extras that were usually available.

I stopped in twice. The first on Saturday night at 11 pm and the second the following Monday afternoon. The dancers working on Saturday were of a higher caliber than normal while there were just two tired old dancers on Monday.

Dances remain $10 each, but you have to pay in advance. The LE crackdown has led to the money going to the bar and then if the dancer doesn't get too touchy-feelie during the dance, she gets it. If she goes over the line, the house keeps it. This has resulted in the dances, which used to include pretty good two way contact, being filled with air between the dancer and patron. That is unfortunate.
