I'm pretty much ready to write...

I'm pretty much ready to write off OTB on weeknights. Went again and had a similar experience to my last one. In fact, a much less interesting one, which is pretty remarkable, given the last one involved my talking with only two dancers, one of whom needed $3 to tip out the DJ at the end of the night and the other of whom caught my attention on stage, but then didn't make herself available to me again that night.

Got in a little after one, which means I was there for the last hour of the night. At a lot of places, stepping up to the register and having the doorperson say, "Eh, skip the cover," is a good thing, but at OTB, that means they've pretty much decided the night isn't going to be worth charging you anything. Sat down at the large, semicircle bar at the back for a $3.50 rail mixer. Saw one dancer across the way who looked somewhat worthwhile, but she was in conversation with some guy and another dancer. When the conversation finished, she went back to the dressing room, not to be seen again. At that point, there were five dancers out on the floor, plus one who was in street clothes already. The three who weren't on either the circular-stage pole behind the bar or the main-stage pole went back to the dressing room as well. Basically, the dancers who were there, none of whom really interested me, anyway, had written off the night at that point. Great.

Throw in a couple tip-walkers after their stage show and the 50-cent tip I left for the drink and I spent ... $6? Yippee.
