Most of the time it's obvious that the strip club you're walking into started its life as something else. A converted strip mall (pun intended) or restaurant. Think Mons Venus in Tampa, some piece of real estate got run down and was available cheap, so a distressed property plus a little remodeling and you now have a strip club. Atlantis and Treasures in Las Vegas are the only two strip clubs I've ever visited that were obviously purpose-built to be strip clubs, exterior and interior.
Fish tank over the bar is a bit over the top for a gentleman's club, but what the heck. Very safe, lots of free parking, very clean. Clean enough that I broke my fundamental S.C. rule and tried the buffet, was surprisingly good.
The security staff who took my $10 cover charge ended up being more concierge than security. It was my first visit so I got a tour, tips on how the club worked, and then Lonnie asked me what kind of girl I was looking for and went and pulled her out of the dressing room for me and made sure I was happy with his choice. $30 dances an excellent value for what you get. After a few I wanted felt like some variety so I sent Lonnie back into to see what other kind of talent was available. That night I had ten spread among 3 of the dancers. Hard to find a spot where I can find three dancers I would actually want dances from but they had a very selection.
