Despite it's shady location near Jarvis St., Filmores is not bad at all. In fact, I'd highly recommend it. I've been there a few times, and if you go with the right expectations, you'll have an enjoyable night. If you go at times other than the busy weekend nights, you should still see a handful of girls on shift. Sure enough, some of them are not too attractive, but some are really hot, so go for those. I'd say about 35-50% of the girls there are black (quite good looking, but not my type), and 20% are Latinas (actually form latin America, born and raised), and a nice handful from eastern Europe. Very few, surprisingly, have manmades. You only pay for your drink (order one; it's the minimum I think), a one-time $10 cover to go upstairs to the VIP and then the standard $20/dance. no other fees or anything. Most girls are pretty honest about the number of songs they dance with you (I always keep count), and very seldom do they ask for tips. most of them are open-minded, giving you little extras for free, and most for a price (I'd say the price for the extras are high, and seldom enjoyable -so stick to the really good lap dances and you wont go broke). most girls will talk to you for a while. sure, they'll try to persuade you for a dance, but they won't make a scene if you refuse. long story short: I recommend filmores. the best? probably not. but it's still quite good, enjoyable, and definitely a safe and reliable bet, which keeps me coming back.
