Finally visited the Lumberyard on a Friday night during their Amateur Night. It was an interesting night but only 5 amateurs participated in the nightly activities. The best part was the girl sitting next to me. She decided to flash the crowd prior to the start of the event, only to be told that she must remain topless for the entire contest (those are the rules and she was a good sport). Out of the 5 that participated, only 3 were worth watching (and they were the final 3 to dance).

The contest is held on the top stage and requires a wristband to sit at the stage during the contest (not sure how much it costs, but I am assuming $25 at the minimum). I was sitting at the middle stage and had a great view of each girl as she got ready for the show and finished (they wait on the 3rd stage until they are called upon).

The only complaint that I had was during the contest (and for nearly 30 minutes afterwards), most of the girls disappeared. The place was not extremely crowded, but I think most of the dancers sit down and take a break during the contest. I did get a couple of lap dances before leaving. Nothing special, but not bad for an Iowa club. Love the fact that you can touch the dancers.
