The transformation of Platinum Plus and...

The transformation of Platinum Plus and the club scene in the Columbia area is finally upon us. I visited the club for a few hours yesterday afternoon. It is consistent as far as the afternoon scene here has been going lately. Two or so very hot dancers, and the rest are average. The music is too loud, the cigarette smoke is overwhelming, but your money goes a long way and it's a friendly club overall and well worth a visit. As far as the transformation goes ... Platinum West appears to be at the brink of opening. For well over a year and a half the management that owns Platinum Plus and Heartbreakers in Columbia has been touting the new Platinum West to the girls as the new premium club in town. The idea will be that Heartbreakers will close and then the top talent from Platinum Plus will go to Platinum West and the original Platinum Plus will end up as a lesser club. I don't know if I'm buying it. Platinum West is in a location that is significantly harder to get to, compared to the two existing clubs. Plus, it's a lot smaller - but it will be brand new, so we'll see. Heartbreakers has been running specials this week, saying it's the "last Tuesday," and the "last Thursday" ever, etc.
