Those of you not familiar with the Myrtle Beach clubs, or those of you who come to Myrtle seasonally (golfers) need to be aware of recent legal challenges in the area as it has impacted these clubs dramatically and you might find yourself disappointed. Local politicians and the thought police are trying to take these clubs down. New laws in the late summer/early fall of 2013 resulted in about half of Myrtle’s clubs (based on zoning) not letting the girls go topless anymore; clubs are being real conservative as legal challenges play out in court and half these places in Myrtle don’t even allow pasties and they are becoming full bikini bars. This makes it hard to make money and some of the better dancers split and some clubs will close.

Fantails is impacted and is now a bikini bar. I visited on a Saturday night and there were around eight girls working. Cover was only $4 and you go through a metal detector to keep out the thugs. Other than once dancer the girls were not pushy and were friendly. Drinks are cheap and music was not too loud. It is not the cleanest club in the world, but I have been in much worse. It seemed to be very couple friendly. Club is rectangular with one long T-shaped single stage with one dancer at a time for three song sets. Clothes stay on the entire time.

Girls were racially mixed and they ranged from slim to obese and from young to their 40s. They ranged in quality from a 3 to a 6 and several were well past their prime. Quality is much lower than the last time I was there last year. This used to be a go to place; however, now, the hottest chick in the place was the shot girl; a smoking hot petite brunette. Still fun to be had at this club if you go upstairs; however, just not the selection there was here in the past. It is not really the fault of the club, they are doing the best they can with what they have to work with; however, hard to attract dancers and customers with the current situation in Myrtle.
