Small. Very small. you know,...
Small. Very small.
you know, all stars used to be my go to club back in my day. and I knew it was small. but at each end of the stage there was room to fit a standing room only crowd. and they had seats by the stage. (regardless, I actually prefer a stand up dance.) and there were plenty of places to stand and get a good dance against a wall. but this place is Small!! Typical small rectangular detroit club layout. stage in middle, 2 levels of booths along the long walls, bar on one end of the building. But like they said previously, there is nowhere to sit. and nowhere to accomodate the inevitable crowd that comes in the door late nights. The door opens up to a space between the bar and stage about 15'x8'. only other option is to stand between stage and booth but thats only about 3-5 ft. In other words, no real place to enjoy a stand up dance. Granted I came late when it was already packed, but the writing was on the wall, so I scoped the selection for about 20 minutes and left.
Girls were decent looking with thicker booties but nothing more than average for any black club. I saw 2-3 chicks I might have gotten dances from but there was no chance of that. and b4 I forget, they cut the songs way short. saw a shorty on stage I would have tried out and noticed she did a 3 song rotation in about 5 miutes. so i figured I'd time the next song on my phone. a gottdamn 1:17 song before dj cut to the next one. I will give them the benefit of the doubt though. th club was packed, crowd was hoppin. I know it gets like this late night. Plus Delishis was there hosting and blabbing on the mic. so it coulda just been the circumstances. But I damn sure wasnt paying $10 for a 1 minute song. If I can time it right I may try this place again and sit at the bar, that would be the only saving grace.
