Went on a Wednesday around 8:30pm. There were four girls on staff, one really attractive blond (easily a Midwest 9, a bit of extra weight, but by no means fat), a relatively attractive brunette (on the heavier side we'll say she's a 7), and two girls I wouldn't expect/want to see stripping. The blond was easily the prettiest girl I saw my entire trip to Ames. Take that for what it's worth. Drinks weren't bad by city standards (3.50 for a tap pint - 4 gils, not an Imperial pint), but pretty steep for the middle of nowhere Iowa, especially since on tap was a cider, Sam Adams seasonal, and Bud.

Each girl does three songs on stage. If you go up to the stage, drop a dollar, and sit you'll get a lap dance. If you grab one of the other girls not on stage you can get a private dance for $20. The private dance is not worth it. For your $1 at the stage you get a bikini lap dance for 15-30 seconds. For your $20 you get the same lap dance for one whole song which is about 2-3 minutes. There is no difference between the dances except that the private is in another room on a leather couch. Either way she does the same moves and no extra clothes come off. The girl was really surprised to get a tip, noting that I had already paid her for the dance. The dancer did note I could lay down for the dance. I did not want to lay on the couch thinking about the guys in the main room who must be regulars. Through the entire private I kept waiting for clothes to come off or something. She did a good job, even rubbing her chest against me and putting my hands on her. It just felt like $20 wasn't the right price for what it was considering I got the same at the stage.

When you're at a table girls will approach you to chat. For me this was an inconvenience as a girl I didn't think was attractive (see one of two above) kept conversation while the more attractive girls danced. By the time I finished my beer and she let me go get a new one the attractive girl was on some guy's lap chatting him up. Definitely felt like I missed an opportunity there and would have rather been at the stage while she was dancing as she clearly knew how to give a lap dance.
