The layout of this club has changed greatly over the years. At times there have been as many as four stages featuring dancers performing simultaneously. The most recent incarnation has a maain stage surrounded by four satellite stages. It's the only the main stage that provides any space for a dancer to display her talent. There is also another stage off to the side surrounded by couches that are probably meant for more private parties. TVs are all over the place, usually tuned to the sporting event of the day. The main stage features a collection of disco lights, smoke machines, and laser lights that get turned on late in the evening.

Off to the side there's a marked off area for lap dances or couch dances ($20 each). There's also a champagne area further back with comfier chairs usually occupied by bored and sleepy dancers. There is also a VIP area that promises a little more privacy for dances with sectioned off areas and your own drapes. It's here that you easily bankrupt yourself by purchasing one ($40), three ($100), or five ($150) dances at one time. If you're really into being the big spender you can purchase blocks of time with your favorite dancer for half an hour ($250) to an hour ($500) at a time. One word of caution, they usually have bouncer or manager roaming that area on a regular basis. The value you get from these private sessions really depends on the chemistry that you have with the dancer you're with. I would add that there are many dancers at the Dolphin II that I have had great chemistry with.

Which brings me to the dancers. I could not guarantee to you that they always represent the best selection of beauty and grace that the Portland strip club scene has to offer. Yet, it only takes one or two gems that make the trip worth it. The Dolphin has always had it share of dancers that combine beauty and sensuality. For some current examples, I would suggest checking out Allie, Taylor, Tristan, and Devine. The dancers run the range of ethnicity and age. This is perhaps one of the more diverse clubs in Portland.
