Stopped in Déjà Vu on a Tuesday night. This place, like all the clubs in Nashville, is just a shadow of what it used to be before the legal crackdown. The girls (probably 12-15 that night) are still generally very attractive and look great when they strip on stage. But, keeping all customers 3 feet away from the stage is ridiculous. They did a “showtime” when all the girls went on stage and then paraded around trying to land lap dance customers. I fell for one girl, very pretty and erotic in every way. Alana, I think, was what she called herself. She was delightful but the dances were lame. Tried another girl a little later. Tops and bottoms stayed on and it was mostly air. Some one-way contact when no bouncer in the vicinity, but really nothing particularly exciting. Customers pretty much have to keep hands to themselves. Dance prices were good, but like everything you get what you pay for. I guess since all Nashville clubs have the same rules, this place was as good as any in town. And there’s nowhere nearby to do any better that I know of. A club in Smithville has topless lap dances, but it’s in the middle of nowhere and it’s only one-way contact. Wishing for the good old days.
