Its been a long time since...

Its been a long time since I've been to Booby Trap, about 3 years to be exact. That visit could be summed up in one word: gross, plus the location of the club is not great being it's in Collier City; home to many dopefiends. Recently some friends of mine told me that the place is going through a number of changes, including adding new girls and a remodel. One of them also gave me a free entree and free drink card, so I figured why not try it out. I went this past Tuesday late afternoon to try to catch both shifts and see what the club really has to offer.

The parking lot is still rather delapidated and it cost $1 to park yourself. Entry before 7 p.m. Is always free, but afterwards it's only $5. I ended up arriving at approximately 6 o'clock so I didn't need to use the free entry card. My second first impression was not very good again. Apparently only half the club has been remodeled, and according to some of the workers the other half has yet to be even scheduled for remodel. In the far back where what used to be the champagne rooms is now a very posh bar with a very nice lighting and VIP area, but this is the only portion of the club that has been remodeled. The rest of the club still has very old carpeting, rickety chairs and tables, and the positioning of said chairs and tables is rather poor were certain parts of the club has them cramped together and other parts you can pretty much stretch out as much as you want. Their main stage is in the very center of the club with tables and chairs running alongside it, 2 small stages set up on the northeast and southeast corners of the club, a large bar that stretches from near the rear center of the club towards the back and around towards the northwest corner of the club, a small bar that goes from the rear center of the club back towards the posh area described earlier, and the restrooms and DJ are in between the bars just described. Directly next to the entrance is their private dance area surrounded by high walls but not completely closed off to the ceiling, and another small stage setup which sits between the private dance area and the large bar that stretches to the northwest part of the club. This stage is set up high enough that if a girl decided to she can look over those high walls into the private dance area and see exactly what you're doing.

Most of the day dancers here are over the hill, with many that really should have retired some years back. With the exception of a few the younger ones seem to be disinterested in working staying around that long bar in the back drinking to themselves. Out of all of them, the absolute best looking girls in the place; only 2 to be precise, were enhanced Latin females in their mid thirties that were kept by a couple of old guys the entire time I was there. I managed to get a few dances in the private area from one girl who had an OK face and body, but only after we started dancing I noticed she reeked of cigarettes; an instant turnoff. Tableside dances are $10, and private dances are $25. The private dance area also has a joke of a VIP section which had 2 seats curtained off and a poorly handwritten note stating the area is $50 just to enter and does not include any costs for the girl. Most of the songs played by the DJ were cut off making the dances last no more than 3 minutes on average. I basically paid $50 for 6 minutes worth of crappy dancing, and the girl had the audacity to ask for tips she clearly did not earn.
