I was in the area on other business and saw a billboard advertizing the Blue Zebra. Hadn't seen it before and hadn't even seen it in a listing of LA clubs so I thought I would check it out. Being a weekday in the middle of the afternoon I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised.

Weekday afternoons there is either a five dollar cover, or a $5 drink minimum, take your pick. A good deal any way you look at it.

The club has a thrust stage with the usual pervert's row left, right, and center. The rest of the floor plan is tables with comfortable chairs. The decor was old-school burlesque style making an attempt at elegance, and was even darker than normal for most clubs inside so I could not really make out the quality. One unusual feature, was that there were windows on the left and right that opened onto hallways with illuminated posters against the outer walls. The private area is behind the back wall of the lounge.
