News From The Fort
This just in, clubs in Fort Wayne haven’t gotten any better. In fact, could they be even worse? The answer may surprise you!
Alright…alright…it won’t really be a surprise at all. Things aren’t great. And considering the lack of reviews, I felt it necessary to add one, even if it’s mostly repeating information.

For starters, Showgirl III is one of five clubs in the ‘city of churches’ that has been subject to the whims of wrinkly old prudes. Where the girls used to be at least topless with a side of pasties, those days seem to be over. They’re now a strip club where stripping has been stripped from the program.
Now that that’s out of the way, the club is on Coliseum Blvd, basically a main drag in the city, so it’s very easy to find. The parking lot is spacious and well lit as you might expect for a more bustling area. Inside, the main stage takes up the middle and the bar sits behind it against the back wall. Plenty of seating around the stage and away from it. There’s also a satellite stage off to the left side that’s used when they’ve got a larger crowd.
Overall it’s a nice club, I’d even say it’s the nicest of the bunch, although I’ve never been to Club 44 so it’s hard to compare. There are usually a variety of girls for various tastes, but we arrived late so there were only a few out on the floor. Luckily there was more than one that caught my eye so I had options even if they were limited.
Are far as costs go, standard fare applies here. The cover is $10 at night and my cokes were $3.50 each. Dances are $20 per song unless the dancer thinks she’s worth more. In that case, dances are still $20 per, just not with her. I had that experience with the dollar dance they offer here, basically just a short table dance for $1 or more if you’re feeling generous. She told me it was $5 even though I knew it wasn’t. I played along though to see how her dance might be. In the end I dropped a decent amount on a completely different girl. Her loss, maybe, who knows?
Speaking of dances, there are no private booths here, and thanks to a city-wide ordinance, probably established by those same wrinkly old prudes, there’s generally no touching allowed. Well, maybe you could get away with it if you spend lots of money over lots of visits, but I’m not that guy. Thankfully the dancers can still touch you and the right girl can still give a pretty good dance, but she won’t be particularly ‘handsy’ if that’s what you’re looking for.
All in all it’s a convenient place to go and relax, have a drink, enjoy the view, maybe enjoy some company, but that’s about it. If you’re in the area and looking for something more exciting, my advice would be to drive to Indy, Kalamazoo, or Detroit if your situation allows.
