First time at Club Sun in a while. No cover, as usual. The layout has changed since my last visit, now one roughly-hewn stage in the center of the bar. I parked on the street but discovered as I entered through the side door that the little garage next to the bar has stalls for Club Sun patrons only. I got there about 11 pm on a Saturday. Only three girls in rotation on that stage but they were covering the stage consistently, maybe 5 songs per stripper. They have a chalk board next to the stage with the names of the girls on duty that night. Aubrey was on stage as I entered, striking full-bodied African American. Guys came and went sitting around the stage, no sense that you were cutting in as you joined the party. Aubrey had a garter but was not using it, so we all tossed bills on the stage. She was already fully nude as I entered. Next onstage was Tea, very attractive Asian, full lips, bangs, slender figure. If you follow the 'Isle of Joy' website she looked a lot like Van, who used to be the AA for that site - it could well have been her, under a new name. Good dancer, beautiful figure. She left after 5 songs, replaced by another striking black dancer. Slow night for customers but the staff were friendly and, unlike some times at other Honolulu no-cover bars, there was a consistent stream of strippers onstage, at least at 11 pm on a Saturday. I'd recommend Club Sun if you are looking for a change of pace from Rock Za and Femme Nu, though if you're new in town I'd suggest RZ first and FN next. (I would in the past have also recommended Exotic Nights, close to Club Sun, at least during those hopping hours of 2 to 4 am on a weekend - but that club closed its doors a few months back.)
