This club is no longer a...
This club is no longer a standalone sports bar with dancers. About a year ago they tore down the wall between the Gold Room and the Saloon and added a pizza kitchen as well. This is my first visit since the change. The first big change is that there is a cover charge to get in (I think it was $8.00). Once you get inside the Sports Saloon looks practically unchanged. It still has HD TVs everywhere tuned to sports as well as pool tables, and darts in a casual mountain lodge setting. I really liked the comfortable leather couches near one of the large HD TVs for watching the game. The only negative about the remodeling job is the bathroom. I guess they were going for some kind of rundown, urban theme with graffiti all over the walls.
Dancers started on the main stage in the Gold Room and moved over to the satellite stage on the Knockout side after two dances. While the new Louisville laws limit contact and nudity I was pleased with the dancer's efforts during the stage shows. The dancers were also very creative and appreciative in taking your tips. There were no really outstanding dancers there that night but they were all genuinely fun and sexy to hang out with.
While I had a great time I miss the old days at this club, before the laws changed. This was a favorite stop since they had no cover charge and topless dancers with all of the sports that you would want to watch. Beer, boobs, and basketball; this combination could always draw me in even if it was just one quick beer. Now with a cover charge I would not be so quick to stop unless I was spending the evening.
