The French Maid offers the best striptease I’ve ever seen. The women are absolutely beautiful. They begin their four-song performance with elaborate costumes and are amazingly sexy from the moment they walk onto the stage—before they remove a single garment—until they’re completely naked. And most dance with incredible moves, mesmerizing everyone in attendance for the entire time. These women treat striptease as an art form and take it seriously, and it pays off. Just watching them can be as much of a turn on as a good lap dance.

Now, having said this all this nice stuff, I have to qualify these statements a bit. Since these women are so talented, they also seem to be a bit temperamental (like strippers everywhere, talented or untalented, I guess). When the audience is relatively small, the dancers tend to lose their motivation and stop their performance after only two songs. So you get a fairly erotic two-song striptease down to the bra and panties, but the dancer then quickly removes her remaining clothes in a rather dull manner, jumping to the coin-tossing phase (see the reviews by others for a discussion of this odd phenomenon). In other words, they tend to quit halfway through the performance. Or worse, some dancers also dance these first two songs rather perfunctorily (and then quit). Since half a striptease isn’t much better than no striptease (you could do as well by watching a Brittney or Christina rock video), it’s hard to get excited about going to the French Maid except at busy times. And since there are no other options for entertainment at the French Maid (no private dances, etc.), this can be a bit frustrating. I was there on consecutive Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and it was great after about 9:30, but irritating before that time, and I almost left the first night just before things got going. I guess the management hasn’t realized the vicious circle: few customers means poorer dancing, but poorer dancing, of course, means fewer customers. They might as well not open until 9:30…

On the other hand, some of the dancers got a bit carried away with their costumes and, as a result, were more entertaining than erotic. This is fine to some extent, but if it’s mere entertainment you want, there are plenty of other places to find it.
