Stumbled upon Tropicana after visiting the Blue Goose. Parking lot in front; plenty of street parking. Active traffic in the neighborhood so safety is assured. What's weird is that this place shares the space with another bar. So front of house is a small, Spanish bar. Happened to arrive on Karaoke night. What a tale of two cities. Back of house is Tropicana occupied by a massive bar. Upon arrival, you'll walk down a hall (think Green Mile) and get frisked by security. Clientele quite frankly includes day laborers, union-type guys and also thugs; you know those guys that think they are going to get laid for 10 bucks. And the sad fact is that they might. Hot bartenders manage the massive bar; once again you have to navigate the perimeter to find a seat. I'd recommend a seat in the back area for more 'action'.

Like most Paterson clubs, plenty of color here. Black, Hispanic. I've never seen a 8-10 here but all are average. I guess the reason why it's busy because of the potential mileage in the dance area. While sitting at the bar, a cute little spinner type sat next to me. If you go, you'll easier spot her; she's the only one. Small chat and bought her a drink. After grabbing my junk, she asks for a dance. We head back to an area of stalls that looks like it was constructed with leftover lumber from your Dad's shed. After the first $20, she offers a CBJ of which I oblige. Clearly a trend here since she had more condoms in her bag than the vending machine at Penn Station. After the clean up, left relieved. VIP room does exist; what is really is is some empty stock room between the 2 bars. Limited privacy and understand full service is an option here. Worthwhile only if in the area.
