For me, Vic’s is one of those places I’ll go out of my way to visit whenever I’m on the east coast. Had a good to excellent time there on a couple of previous trips, and was hoping for the same thing this time.

Undeterred by news reports that some nut case shot up a neighboring strip club (Slicks) in Irvington on Christmas, killing three and injuring two, just cuz they wouldn’t let him in the club, I headed out on the long trip. However, it does underline the fact that, in the scheme of things, this is NOT a safe neighborhood, no matter what people want to believe. Sure, the likelihood you’ll get hit by stray bullets is virtually nil, but compared to other places it’s certainly in the lower range of safe places to be. Just be careful. This is a crappy section of Jersey, not some nice quiet farm town in the midwest.

Stopped by early on a Thursday afternoon, fully prepared with my lap dance shorts (very short, very loose, pajama shorts), some vitamin V, and a little tube of lube. Walked in, sat at the bar, and almost immediately did a double take.
