I have actually been several times to the Gentlemen's Club, Glendale. I have a friend who was thinking about dancing there, and we went together to check it out at different times of the evening and week, to gauge the crowd and monetary possibilities. This is a very small club, and you can tell that it has been there for quite a while. Just getting to the location of the club can be tricky, because it is right next to the train tracks and the closest vehicle crossing is closed, so you have to drive past the club and cross down the street and then backtrack. It is located in an industrial area (warehouses, stone and welding yards and such), and there is no parking lot, only street parking (which is really just on the dirt next to the road.) Inside the club, it is dark and has black lights, so everything white suddenly glows. There are two little runways to two little round stages and two poles. There are little black velvet booths to sit and watch the dancers from a distance, or you can sit directly at the stage. On a busy night (weekends after midnight), there are usually two dancers at a time, one on each stage. It is cool to see two dancers at once, so I will give them props for that. The lapdance booths are along the back wall and anyone in the club can pretty much see a person's entire lapdance session from any vantage point in the place. There are more private VIP rooms located off to the back side, but while in a session back there, I didn't see any security cams or any management or security staff doing checks of the VIP booths to be sure no illicit activities were being done there. The lack of cams was disturbing to me, especially considering this club has a reputation for illicit activity, you'd think they'd try harder to prevent those things by installing cams and checking often. Over all, the interior of the club was dark, it looks like it hasn't been redecorated or deep cleaned in quite some time, and the vibe within is kind of cave-like.

The races, body types, and personalities of the dancers was pretty diverse. There was everything from black, white, asian, latina, armenian, etc, plus curvy, thin, fit, you name it as far as the body types. Also, the ages of the dancers varied as well. I wouldn't say that there were any "perfect 10" type women there, but everyone was confident and cleanly dressed and they seemed to enjoy dancing. The quality of the pole work and performing varied, some knew awesome pole tricks, others were more about being sexy and crawling around on their knees. A couple girls looked brand new and seemed terrified onstage. Some of the dancers seemed like real hustlers and would go straight for any customer who walked in the door, and others seemed like they'd rather be on their phones or taking a nap in the corner. During private dances, the dancers all seem to ask for tips quite a bit, which I haven't experienced at other clubs. So either they are desperate for cash, or maybe they don't usually get good tippers in there and feel they need to remind the clientele, but either way, I was turned off by that. While I was in a VIP session ($100 for 10 minutes in the back private booths), the sexy dancer I was with was very cool and appropriate and she worked hard to move and shake it in a pleasing way for me, so I tipped generously and she was respectful and didn't keep asking about it. But I could hear other VIP sessions going on next to ours and the sounds coming from the booths on either side of me really sounded like other (illegal) activities going on. When I asked the dancer I was with, she responded that some of the girls there were more willing to "go all the way for the right price" and that it really bothered her. She said that because of the girls who give "other" services there, she gets propositioned constantly, and guys will give her a hard time if she "only dances" and won't let them touch or stroke her. I felt really bad for her and suggested that she try dancing at another, better club.

Over all, I would give the Gentlemen's Club Glendale a very low rating. I thought it was very seedy, and even though I'd heard it had a bad reputation, I still checked it out, giving it the benefit of the doubt. But the rumors were pretty much confirmed by my visits and I won't be going back there or recommending it to any friends or tourists looking for a sexy place to unwind.
