Deja Vu will likely have the most dancers on shift of any strip club in Minneapolis. The only club in Minnesota that can likely challenge it may be King of Diamonds. After 7, entry fee is $18 and includes the cover and drink charge, which entitles you to all the non-alcoholic drinks you want the remainder of your stay. Lately, they've been having special celebrations every two months or so during which they exclude the cover charge (the drink charge still applies). These occasions tend to be much busier than normal weekends due to the reduction in entry fee and the promise that all dancers will be on hand. I've been to the Vu on two of these occasions and there are more dancers on hand than usual. There are some dancers I've only seen during these special celebrations and not during normal weekends. I can understand why, though, as the increased patronage likely means a greater chance of making good money. It's very hard to find seats near the stage or at the tip round during these special occasions. But on the other hand, there's a greater variety of dancers to choose from.

Generally, I would rate the attractiveness of the Vu's dancers between 5-7, with one or two that would rate higher. Where the Vu rates higher than other clubs in the area is the stage shows. The dancers here generally give the best stage shows. Generally, the stage dance goes through two songs. The more skilled dancers get three as they incorporate more elaborate moves in their routines, including the use of the pole which would make some gymnasts envious. At the tip round, there's a fair amount of contact from most of the dancers. You can get good face full of breasts or a good sniff of a dancer's panties. Because the Vu attracts a younger crowd, the tip round patrons tend to be a bit stingier. The dancers, though, do show appreciation for willing tippers.

Lap dances, as with most clubs, vary depending on the dancer. All lap dances are conducted on nice comfortable love seats that line the back and side of the club. It's far enough from the stage area that you're removed from the commotion going on in that area, but there's nothing obstructing the view from other patrons or bouncers. Generally, bouncers do not hover by the lap dancer area, but you see one doing rounds every so often. The most annoying part of the lap dance is the immediate and constant inquiry by waitresses to buy a dancer a drink. A dancer confided once that it's a club mandate that waitresses pounce like that and for dancers to encourage patrons to buy drinks, whether or not they are interested in a drink. The more skilled dancers give a very good grind and most work hard so you enjoy the dance. The best I've had lately at the Vu has been by an Asian dancer named Jade. She definitely wanted to please. I highly recommend giving her a chance, but you grab her when you can because she tends to attract a lot of fans as the night goes on. Lap dances are $20 per dance, but there are quite often 2 for 1 dance specials. I used to think that the 2 for 1 specials were a sham and lasted about the same as a regular dance. After timing both, I noted that the 2 for 1 dances did last about a minute longer on average, so there is added value there.
